Jack Amuny was born and raised in Louisiana. He is a
graduate of the University of Southern Louisiana where he
studied art and graphic design. An artist by vocation and
President of Art City a graphics and art firm here in Houston.
Along with his wife Heather, Jack has attended Bay Area
Presbyterian since 1988. One of the original elders ordained in
1988, Jack and Heather are actively involved in many of the
ministries of BAPC including small groups, host teams, ushering,
lawn care, children’s ministry, fellowship ministry and the Good
News Club. In addition to his ministry responsibilities of the
church Jack is also an active member of the Clear Lake Chamber
of Commerce. Jack and Heather have one daughter Heather who
lives with her husband Jeff in Portland Oregon.
Bill Calhoun was born in Pittsburgh PA and raised in
Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of
Delaware and received his MD from Penn State University.
Bill currently serves as a Professor of Medicine at the
University of Texas Medical Branch and Vice Chairman of the
Department of Medicine for Research. Along with his wife
Karen, Bill has attended BAPC since 2006. Bill has
served the church as an usher, small group leader, and Christian
education teacher. Bill and Karen have one son Brendan who
is a senior at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dave Kanipe is a native Texan, born and raised along
the coast in Corpus Christi. A graduate of the Aerospace
Engineering program at Texas A&M University, where he was
awarded the B.S. and M.S. degrees, Dave is employed by NASA as
Division Chief of the Aerospace Department. A longtime
member of Bay Area Presbyterian Church Dave has actively and
faithfully served the Lord as a small group leader, Stephen’s
Ministry leader, choir member, musician, and landscape
administrator. Dave, along with his wife Dianne, also
employed by NASA, have been attending BAPC since 1987.
They have two grown sons, Chris and Ken.
Tom Kelley was born in St. Louis, MO and is a graduate of
Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis, and Covenant
College, Lookout Mountain, GA. The son of a PCA elder Tom has
been actively involved in the Christian Education ministry of
the church teaching classes on church history, the Bible, and
theology. Tom is employed by Computer Services Corporation as a
Senior Manager in Web and Middleware services. Tom is currently
serving as the co-coordinator and trainer for Stephen
Ministries. Tom has also been active on the General Assembly
level serving on various committees over the past several years.
He and his wife Barbara are parents to three grown children.
Ben Newcomb,
along with his wife Nancy, has attended
Bay Area Presbyterian Church since 1990.
Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi,
Ben is a graduate of the
University
of Southern Mississippi
where he received his BS degree in Computer Science.
Ben is currently employed by the AvFinity Corporation where he
works as a senior software engineer. Ben has been
active in ministry at BAPC, serving as: a deacon, children’s
ministry volunteer, greeter team member, lawn care laborer, as
well as, President of the School Board. Ben and his
wife Nancy have been married seventeen years and have two
children, Steven and Jenna.
