Bill Calhoun was born in Pittsburgh PA and raised in
Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of
Delaware and received his MD from Penn State University.
Bill currently serves as a Professor of Medicine at the
University of Texas Medical Branch and Vice Chairman of the
Department of Medicine for Research. Along with his wife
Karen, Bill has attended BAPC since 2006. Bill has
served the church as an usher, small group leader, and Christian
education teacher. Bill and Karen have one son Brendan who
is a senior at Washington University in St. Louis.
Tom Kelley was born in St. Louis, MO and is a graduate of
Westminster Christian Academy, St. Louis. He has degrees in
Computer Science and Psychology from Covenant College, Lookout
Mountain, GA. The son of a PCA elder, Tom has been actively
involved in the Christian Education Ministry at BAPC teaching
classes on church history, the Bible, and theology. Tom has
served as the coordinator and trainer for Stephen Ministries and
has been a member and past president of the WCA school board off
and on for the last 10 years. He is currently serving as a
member of the Finance Committee, Administration Committee and
Pastoral Search Committee. Tom is also very active on the
General Assembly and Presbytery levels serving on various
committees over the past several years. Tom is employed by
Computer Sciences Corporation as a Senior Manager overseeing all
Web and Email services for many Fortune 500 clients. He and his
wife, Barbara, have three grown children and two grandchildren.
Ben Newcomb,
along with his wife Nancy, has attended
Bay Area Presbyterian Church since 1990.
Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi,
Ben is a graduate of the
University
of Southern Mississippi
where he received his BS degree in Computer Science.
Ben is currently employed by the AvFinity Corporation where he
works as a senior software engineer. Ben has been
active in ministry at BAPC, serving as: a deacon, children’s
ministry volunteer, greeter team member, lawn care laborer, as
well as, President of the School Board. Ben and his
wife Nancy have been married seventeen years and have two
children, Steven and Jenna.
